HPAC were engaged as the principal contractor for the early works at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital in Liverpool’s CBD. The works were completed one month ahead of programme whilst overcoming latent conditions. Our teams’ input during the early works phase of the project enabled the client to finalise design and maximise cost benefits. Of primary concern was that the adjoining hospital’s operations were not affected in any way.
This was achieved by careful monitoring and the use of rock sawing, ensuring that operating theatres were not affected by noise or vibration. Live gas and water mains along one boundary of the site meant that close collaboration with service providers (Jemena and Sydney Water) was essential. Works included hoardings, demolition of the site, piling, ground anchors, shotcrete, bulk and detail excavation, basement slab and crane installation
